2. Excursion to Burano, Murano and Torcello, one of the best excursions in Venice
Taking a vaporetto or a boat for an excursion to Murano and Burano from Venice is one of the best things to do in Venice. You can take the vaporetto in several places in the city, but if you are looking for a central place, there is a stop near San Marcos Square called San Zaccaria.
It will take you an hour to reach the island of Murano and during the journey you will pass through the island Saint Michele, also known as the Island of the Dead, for its cemetery.
