Day 1: BARCELONA - MUNICH

Today the alarm sounded at the same time as always. It seems a Friday like any other, but no, this weekend will not be like the rest, this will be spent in German lands ... in a few hours we take the flight from Barcelona to Munich.
Since we have the most important flights, we have not been able to stop thinking about this trip to bavaria with which we are so excited. This time we will leave from Barcelona, in direct flight, operated by Lufthansa.
Only a couple of weeks ago we returned from our getaway to Budapest and it almost seems incredible to be on our way to the airport again.
Not bad at this pace of travel. Although we can not get the taste, because this travel every 15 days is not, much less, the usual.
Different from this trip to bavaria is that this time we have to work and we will fly in the afternoon.
We leave the car in the parking lot and once in Terminal 1, we stop for coffee waiting for our door to be announced.

These last getaways, to Budapest and Bologna, Rimini and San Marino we have done with Ryanair and we have become accustomed to "bad manners" since they treat us like sheep, so any civilized sign on a boarding gate seems unusual to us .
It seems incredible to us to enter a plane without pushing and without worrying about the measurements or the weight of the handbag or by putting the bag clandestinely in the suitcase so that they do not see it.
It is quite clear that we were not flying with any normal company since our trip to India, right?
And so amazed as children, we spend two hours flying, and we can say that they even land better than low-cost flights !! 🙂

Upon leaving the airport of Munich, we cross a kind of inner courtyard, huge, where we begin to see the first Christmas lights and we begin to set ourselves. Just in front, across the square, are all car rental offices.
We go to ours, this time we have booked with Budget, which shares space with Avis and in just over 30 minutes we already have all the documentation ready, ready to go looking for what will be our rental car in Bavaria.
They tell us perfectly where the parking is, what elevator to take and in which parking space our car is. This is German professionalism.
A little less than 1 hour ago we have landed and we are already riding our Opel Meriva with winter tires (just in case).
Before continuing with the travel diary to Bavaria, we have to say that the service is ten. Both by staff and by signage ... etc

Tonight we will stay at the Holiday Inn Express Munich Airport, less than 10 minutes from Munich airport and where we arrive thanks to the GPS that we bring with us from home and accompanies us every time we rent a car: on our trip through the Czech Republic , on the route we did in Austria ... etc
We do the fast check-in and once installed, we eat a couple of sandwiches that we bring in the suitcase, in case some unforeseen occurrence and we lay down to watch German television for a while and read ... until we get the dream ... and we see in the distance a castle ...
