Day 12: PUSHKAR

Saturday, May 12, 2012

Today it seems that it will not be a good day, I have risen quite badly and I almost do not feel strong enough to go outside, although the sacred Pushkar Lake is waiting for us.
I can hardly even eat and that makes me feel weaker. Today we got scared. Until now it had not been like that, we had been worried about the situation, but we had not been afraid.
Perhaps what has made us react in this way is that this morning, when going to the bathroom, I have bled and this has already put the fly behind our ears.
So we talked to Mahendra to find a doctor.
Since we arrived in India he has behaved great with us, but today he has already shown us not only his professionalism, but the person he is. Good luck we have him with us.
He informs and tells us that he does not trust any doctor here and prefers to wait until tomorrow when we are in Jaipur.

We take it easy, knowing that there are only a few hours left before a doctor can see me and send me an antibiotic or whatever to make me feel better.
The truth is that it does not come from a day, so we decided to wait until tomorrow and today is a "quiet" day of visits in Pushkar, so we will take it, resting now for a while in our room at Jagat Palace.
In the morning we decided, not to beat myself up too much, to go out for a couple of hours Pushkar to go for a walk, walk the ghats and have a drink.
We take a long walk through the ghats, barefoot, mixing with people ... the atmosphere is great. It makes you want to stay here for more days.
We don't know why, but you breathe something in the special environment.
This gradually makes me feel better and endure the morning quite well.

Shortly after 12 in the morning, I begin to be tired again, so we go to the Sunset Restaurant / Hotel, from where we have spectacular views of the ghats, to have a drink and wait for Mahendra to come looking for us.

With all this, resting with these views of the sacred lake of Pushkar, we think about travel insurance, that we have it for that and we pay it :)) And said and done, we get in touch with them.
We explain the situation and tell them that we need a doctor for tomorrow in Jaipur.
They remain in which the correspondent will call us in India, to provide us with all the information.
Today, the truth is that he doesn't have much more to tell. We have only left in the morning, as we have said, for a walk and at night we have returned to the Ghat Jaipur area, to the Sunset Restaurant / Hotel which is a pass to have a drink watching the sunset before returning to the Jagat Palace.
A good option to know the history of Pushkar and not miss anything is to book this guided tour in Spanish.

Tomorrow we will wait for the doctor in Jaipur. Waiting for you to give me "a miracle" to recover and continue enjoying this special country.
