We found by chance the Dhangethi Holiday House where we stayed in Maldives and we have no regrets at all! We were able to enjoy this paradise for 6 days in a different way, getting to know the local population a little and throwing the bartola on a beach for ourselves.
The accommodation consists of a small house with two double rooms and a kitchen to share, as well as a garden where the girls can sunbathe (beware that in public spaces you have to dress demurely), although they were improving it when we went and sure that in the future is beautiful.
The room where we slept for us was perfect! It is not a Resort, of course, but it was super comfortable, with its huge bed, air conditioning, bathroom, fridge, and plenty of space! Ideal for a backpacker who tends to backpacker.
To not spend too much and reduce costs you have the gas cooker. If you miss an omelette or some macaroni and sausages here you can prepare it yourself.
Also if you need advice, ask where the food stores are, arrange an excursion to another island, or just chat for a while while explaining life on the island here you have Super Mohamed! And if you know a little Italian you can practice it with him. In addition Lucie, the girl with whom we contacted and who manages the Dhangethi Holiday House was super nice and gave us many tips!

How to get?
From the port of Villingili in Male you have to take a local ferry to the island of Mahibadhoo that lasts about 4 hours. There you take another ferry to Dhangethi Island in another hour and a half. The combined ticket costs 53 ruffias.
To get from the airport to Male there is a ferry every bit. They cost 10 ruffias. The port is on the other side of the island so to get to the port of Villingili you can catch a taxi for 30 ruins.
Price
